Very sturdy!

Does what it is intended to. The bendy arm is a little stiff (I've only used it a few times) but that means that it will take a fair weight. I use it for holding my mobile phone in studio shoots; it does this perfectly well.

A simple, but effective, bit of kit

This works! It works well will Audacity freeware, via a USB cable to my laptop. A copy of Audacity is included on a mini CD, but it's easy to download. A 3.5mm audio cable (not provided, though simple earphones are) allows playback through an external speaker if you have one. I had it up and running within about 15 minutes of unpacking. Recording quality is fine - the main limitation is the state of the cassette in the first place! The hinges on the cover seem a little flimsy, and will need gentle handling. Other than that, I can't fault it, and at the price, it's excellent value for money - and a simple way of making priceless memories accessible.
