weak physical design
poor weak design, this is second one broken at the same place. (where the extension comes out of the upper part).
won't buy another of these.

After repair, alright for the price, disappointing keyboard/ front plinth
I needed an update for my old Acer Aspire5630 and couldn't afford new, so onto EBay. Got this just in my budget.
Performance running Ubuntu-Mate is OK, I added 2GB to up it to 6GB. The DC power connector failed on 2nd day using it, (ex IT engineer so £6.45 on EBay and 2 1/2 hrs dismantle/reassemble) fixed.
The keyboard is like an enlarged ZX Spectrum, ie pretty crap, the numeric pad outer layout is unusual. I would prefer the front plinth less deep, the keyboard is quite far back. There is a 2" x 1" "stain" on the screen (only) visible with a light grey or silver background otherwise the picture is quite good.

very disappointed
I bought a black as mine had just about given up, I wanted to try before committing to buy a colour (yellow was on way out). Unfortunately the first black didn't work at all. Tried all the recommended fixes without result. Sent it back for replacement which came fairly quickly BUT still the same no print. They refunded for original cost. I ended up buying refill packs from "Wilkxxxxns" refilled my old cartridges and all working fine..
Ended up out of pocket for return post and very disappointed with this purchase.
