This is McCartney doing what he does best, some simple melodies and good rock tunes for variety.

A Beautiful Remembrance
This is a poignant and compelling account of the joy that memories bring and the tragedy of the loss of them through age and dementia. As always with Melvyn Bragg the focus is on relationships and in this book his mature writing skills outline them perfectly.

A Book of its Time
The book was first published in 1938 and concentrates on the difference between a poor Miss Pettigrew and the richer, decadent high society that she finds herself in for a day. There are comments which are no longer p.c. about women and briefly about jewishness or foreigners. This has to be put into context of the time but does spoil the read.
The format is good and the illustrations delightful
