A fitting tribute to this often overlooked and important aircraft of WW2

Very heavy unit - poor instructions - looks great
Very heavy unit - 29kgs -It is a 2 or more person lift to install. The thin glass front makes it quite vulnerable to damage and awkward to handle once it is out of the packaging. The installation instructions bear no relation to the actual extractor even though the model number matches on the document. I only found the special mounting bracket by chance (tucked in the polystyrene packing) No mention of it in the instructions. The twin gas strut controlled opening glass door has no adjustment for opening distance, so the glass corners (sharp) could be very close to head height when fully open. This is dependent upon the installation height. Due to the weight, I made a timber frame backing secured with large screws and wall plugs rather than trust the small supplied mounting bracket on it's own. It does look great and seems to work as designed.

Fit well and comfortable
Good quality, fit and good looks, but so, so easy to scratch. They could do with a cloth bag for storage to protect the lens. For that reason only, I can't recommend.
