Pro’s and Con’s
I have just purchased my 2nd Kitchenaid food processor. The old one is still working after several years but the lid was broken and it would only work if you fiddled around with it so I bought a new one. I use a food processor most days as we prepare all meals from scratch and I am catering for a large family. The Pro’s of this machine are: Large capacity Really powerful Robust ( unless you drop the lid!) It’s effective slicing and grating brilliantly. And the Cons: It’s Huge - not good for a small kitchen or if storage is limited Cleaning- over time food gets trapped within the sealed section of the lid and there is no way of removing it which looks unsightly. The lid is not suitable for the dishwasher - it has a metal part which slots into the bowl when assembled and over several years this corroded with dishwasher cleaning and ultimately it broke. I have passed on my old machine to my daughter who has purchased a new lid for it and when I decided to buy a new machine, despite the cons I opted for this reliable work horse again. Overall I would recommend the machine.
ADDIS Double Bucket and Wringer in Graphite

Strong and practical bucket
I’ve owned an Addis bucket for nearly 20 years and it’s still going strong. I have used it for all domestic cleaning and it has survived all that raising four children, several dogs and a couple of horses can throw at it. The “yellow bucket” as it is reffered to by the family has been used daily for mopping the floors, cleaning bathrooms, windows, ovens etc. I decided to buy a new bucket as the yellow one is looking rather grim since my artist daughter has been using it to clean up her paints. She seems to be going through a rather moody phase and most of the paint she uses is black or dark grey, the primrose yellow bucket is looking rather shabby. I did not hesitate to buy another Addis bucket and hoped it would be as tough as it’s predecessor which has been relegated to the garage. The new sleek graphite grey model arrived and I’m very pleased to say it seems as sturdy and will no doubt give many years of use
