Brilliant period piece but still so true of today, extremely funny, and great setting. A must see
I saw this TV programme when it first came out and loved it and whilst on holiday in the Lake District came across the CD package in the cottage I was staying in, watched one episode of it one night and was hooked. It is set in Brighton, an area which I am very fond of. All the characters are brilliant at their various parts. It is so funny throughout but intersprsed with the problems of real life from the growing pains of young adolesences discovering their sexuality and exploring drugs to the problems of parenthood understanding their children, their needs whilst balancing their own needs. Every single character in this programme plays their part so well and is so convincing whilst most of the time being extremely funny. The sad thing is that over the years I have not seen much of these actors/actresses which is a great shame. The only one I have seen is Sarah Jane Potts, but only occassionally in Holby City and more recently in Zen. 10 out of 10 to them all including those who wrote and directed and associated in any way with this series.
