Works better than I thought for the price point
I bought this as a proof of concept purchase for my small fab shop. I wanted to make sure I would use it a fair amount and this type of shear would be beneficial to my shop before I spent $500-$1k on a quality one. Honestly I use it more than I thought I would and it works good enough for the price point. I had to make some small tweaks, align, lube and tighten a few things, but it's ok. When it fails I'll be buying a name brand unit as this type of shear is quite useful for qiuick small cuts instead of using the 52" shear and much quicker and cleaner cutting 1/8" steel flat stock instead of the bandsaw, hacksaw, etc. I have cut 2" wide by 1/8" steel stock and it cut it no problems as well as .080 and .120 aluminum and 1/16" inch steel sheet. If your going to use it constantly in a higher production shop, buy a quality unit. If it's for your garage shop for occasional use, you'll probably be fine.
