An awesome camera, with little or no wear for its age.
6 of 6 found this helpful This camera is like my D1 and D3 series collection; a real Pro-level camera. These earlier Pro DSLRs from Nikon are the Sherman tanks of cameras. This one takes awesome pictures with the right glass on it. The resolution is superb. The only drawback to these cameras, is the battery situation. Finding new batteries that are not Chinese knockoffs, is getting very hard to do. BUT, a fresh battery will let you shoot most all day without having to change batteries.

Cannot rave enough about these cameras. The Zeiss lens says it all.
I have owned many of these cameras over the years. Every so often, I decide to buy a new camera, maybe one with twice the resolution and pixel count as the R1 try them for a little while, and end up coming back to ebay for another R1. The just perform!! The colors are warm, the pictures are crisp and full of detail. I currently own two of these.
