Great music but hard to locate on the dvd
The disc is difficult to navigate. I could not find a simple way to move from one symphony to another. It was only by dumb luck that I was able to hear and see all three of the Tchaikovsky symphonies, and a second try at it after finishing the dvd was just as hard. Of course I'll be listening and watching again--many times, I hope. It's beautiful music.

A delight.
This Dvd excited me. The concert music selections were appropriate and well played. I am not a trained music critic but just a listener but I'm glad I happened on the Verbier performances and have bought several in the series. I'll play this one again and again.

Comedy dealing with social issues. It stands the test of time.
+Chaplin is Chaplin and Modern Times is a classic movie. The comedy in it often deals with important social issues such as factory work often dehumanizes workers, public officials enforcing laws instead of considering facts about situations. This is a movie with messages as well as humor. The quality of the film is excellent. It does not have the poor images of many early films. It has not suffered deterioration. I am happy that I added Modern Times to my collection of DVDs of early comedies.
