Batting For A Super Disapointment
What could have been a great superhero movie left me cold. The only characters that were any where near well drawn and depicted were Lex Luther, and Lois Lane. The darkly drawn story was simply depressing because they concentrated on action to the detriment of character development. The heroic characters were blandly drawn, and one felt in parts the film makers relied on the viewer having seen the earlier "Man of Steel". Newsflash for the story developers and editors - you can't depend on a viewer's prior knowledge (not all of us have seen all your back catalogue).
Batman V Superman bah - a couple of planks would have been less wooden. Wonder woman?? Wonder why she even bothered to turn up.

Song For Marion Strikes a True Cord
An excellent film, which paints a very real and touching portrait of family relationships and loss.
It has a feel of real life to it, and it manages to paint a magnificent picture of an ordinary and flawed man dealing with his wifes impending death and subsequent loss without becoming gushy and tear jerking. The relationship with his son is also wonderfully portrayed.
It is a film for mature thinkers, and the characters are all too real. You may find aspects of yourself or others shinning out at you from the film.
I can't praise it highly enough personally, a Stirling cast shines with a fabulously simple script.
