1 of 1 found this helpful Replaced a older model surprised how much smaller it is hand set a bit sensitive at first easy to press the wrong button when setting up ok once you get used to it fortunately hand set from my old receiver work's with it as well apart from a description of the buttons on the handset the instruction manual very poor not a lot of information but having owned a previous model I knew how to use all the features a complete novice might struggle a bit receives a lot of channels which is great but can sometimes be a bit of a nuisance because if you say set something up to record on BBC the unit picks up a lot of regional BBC channels so you can end up recording the same program on more than one BBC channel so end up with two or three recordings of the same program and as yet not worked out if this feature can be stopped plus not a lot of information on the web all in all quite pleased with the unit picture quality better than the older model so looks good on my 4k TV and being able to record 4 channels has allowed me to do away with another hard drive recorder I had connected up having had both Sky and Virgin TV in the past as long as you have a satalight dish Freesat in a better set up all round as it's subscription free would highly recommend this product

Had a DAB radio in past but reception not very good so went back to plain FM but moved house in 2018 and lo and behold DAB working perfectly but a bit basic not a fan of constant talking on radio prefer just music especially in the mornings Chris Evans and bowie ball way to much over the top hence change of radio One big niggle with th new radio the snooze button is the volume control so once woken up by radio if u want to adjust the volume you have to turn the alarm off then restart radio all a bit of a faff good points are the two alarms available allows you to change radio stations so for me first alarm internet channel radio just music second alarm radio 2 Ken Bruce so best of both worlds internet stations very good from classic rock to relaxing channels like birds water and seashore sounds for people like my better half who has problems getting to sleep the radio has a nap option allso if required I can plug in a USB stick so can listen to our own music So apart from the snooze setup I'm very happy with the radio and would recommend it

makes great coffee
Bought this machine to replace our tassimo machine and it was delivered within two days but as myself and my wife are both in our 70s we found allthough it made very good coffee and the frother was great our favorite type of coffee is capachino we just could not get to grips with the strenth of the coffe plus we bought some coffee pods as well as the machine was able to use them but tjhey turned out to be a bit weak this was probbaly due to the brand of coffee pods and not the coffee machine so unfortunatly we had to return the machine and get a refund the whole process was very easy with andrew james sending us a free postage label
on the whole it was a shame that we could not get on with the machine so weve gone back to our tassimo which is a bit expensive to run (the pods are not cheap compared to ground coffee ) but as its automatic its easier for us to use
the coffee maker from andrew james is a great machine which when used properly makes great coffee would not hesitate to recommend this coffee machine and the service from andrew james
