also useful as a mini-patch panel

Nice construction. Accepts banana plugs or wires on both sides. Red/black markings are subtle but clear. The distance between the two columns allows for dual-wire banana plugs. I used two of these to make a speaker patch panel -- one for the left channel and one for the right. Amp's wired to the back side and speakers connect to banana plug jacks so I can easily plug a speaker into a specific amp.

Great phone -- long battery life, good sound, speaker phone & headphone jack

I had a set with 5 phones (max per base is 6) and I got this set to cover some other rooms. Overall the phones work well with good sound quality. Batteries last a long, long time (over 5 years) and are easy to replace AAA NiMh. Speaker phone mode works well too and there is a jack for a headset on each phone. Each phone can only connect to one base, so in my case with two bases - one on the 3rd floor and one in the basement you just have to be careful taking one wrong phone on the stairs and losing the signal.

the collectors edition is worth the extra money

The firefly series was great, and its good to see the characters again. This collectors edition is espcially good because of the bonus material. After watching the movie, you can watch the bonus material (deleted scenes, behind the scenes, etc.) which really fills in the whole story that wouldn't fit into the feature film itself.
