For a switch it is expensive

I am replacing Blagdon switch which I purchase 8 years ago. Water did not enter switch. But the circuit was burnt out. You can smell as we open the switch. I am hoping this one will last longer then 8 years. Illumination lights are much brighter then the previous one.
