Mahle Oil Filter
This is as close to the genuine VW filter if not better. The paper filament is rigid and doesn't look or feel poor quality like cheaper ones. I have used this filter several times and is excellent. For the the 1.6 TDCI Fiesta Mk6.5, you have to cut the white foam disc on the end to fit inside the filter housing by slicing the inner edges every 3cm and this is easily done with a sharp blade all the way round it. This ensures a easy fit and is easy.

Forgot to check if these were genuine by comparing with the original ones from VW but they seem OK and car drives a little better.
