Like Digging Up a Time Capsule from the early 1960's
Great local history for the early 1960's. The places mentioned brought back a lot of memories. Story would have been better with fewer characters, better developed characters and fewer cameo appearances of people for shake of mentioning their name.

A Must Read for Meta-fiction Readers
One of the best meta-fiction novels I've read in a long time. The protagonist's thought process/inner dialogue reminded me a bit of the protagonist in "A Simple Plan."
