Good, expensive and but not for the novice

It is not something that, unless you have a good knowledge of IT and computing, is recommended for the average user. It having said that is far superior to my previous BT Hub 4 and affords many advantages if you require a good robust wi-fi system for your home. The technical support from ASUS is very poor so do not expect too much help from them. I am using this for my smart UHD TV, HD Firesticks, four Echo Dots, Alexa smart home devices, Kindle and supporting my desktop and other devices. I have some thirty devices and it is performing well. This is on a standard ADSL 5mbs line but it is hoped soon to get fibre to the property which is why I upgraded to this system to remove bottlenecks later in the home. It is a rather expensive router (I have two acting as a mesh) though on performance and coverage it is very good with no dead spots. I like the idea of the tri-band balancing the load on the 2.4GHz and the two 5GHz networks. It has a good firewall and security. There are some nice features like a guest log on that has limited access to other devices on my network but allows full access to the internet.
