I liked it enough to buy a 2nd one
2 of 2 found this helpful Read a lot of reviews before choosing to buy this model. My biggest criterion in printers is individual color ink tanks. Just can't see throwing out a tank that still contains blue and yellow, but the red is gone!
Purchased our first HP OfficeJet 6000 from an office supply store over a year ago and it would still be providing excellent service if it hadn't dropped on the floor (long story).
I spend the extra on the larger ink tanks and I'm satisfied with tank life. (I might go the cheaper, refillable tank route, except I had a bad experience in the past and am not willing to try that again.)
MY only complaint about this machine is that if the output tray gets bumped (and it does frequently where I have to locate the printer), it VERY NOISILY drops from the up position to the lower position -- not particularly a good thing when everyone in the house is sleeping except the one still using the computer!
Some complain about how long it takes to begin printing. Yeah, they have a point, but it's not THAT big of a problem. Some complain about the noise. I suppose that could be a problem, but no one in our family has commented on it. Overall, I think it's a GREAT printer for the money.
