B&W 704 s2 - fantastic speakers and bargain of the century!
1 of 1 found this helpful Absolutely amazing speakers. Many people question the B&W house sound but as Hans Wetzel said in his review those that like this, admittedly not a neutral sound, incredibly clear and vivid mids and highs with great transparency and air between the notes will love them. I am definitely a fan. As for value these were originally £2500 speakers and when you are unpacking them you can see why but to get them for £924 inclusive of delivery is just ridiculous! I thought now of getting the big brother, the 702 s2 for my other room system, but although they have the outside tweeter I really like the fast transparent bass of the 704's with the 5" drivers. They fit my 20 x 14 ft room perfectly and the 702's might be too big for my rooms whilst the 6 1/2" drivers might not be as fast and I have never liked slow boomy bass! [ I am not saying the 702's have slow bass but they might be relative to my 704's!] I have them hooked upto Rotel RA-1572 amp and RCD-1572 CD Player. Absolutely stunning sound.
