SIMOCO SRM9000 UHF 400-480MHZ 25 WATT MOBILE RADIO BODY ONLY IDEAL FOR 70CM HAM

Great value.

The new old stock radios are great value. It's a real plus that they come with the original factory test results. The SRM9000 series radios are very easy to programme and it's simple to run a pair of them as a repeater. The UHF TU band radios are particularly useful in Australia as they cover both the Amateur 70cm band and are a type approved radio covering the UHF CB band. The fact that they cover the full band without having to be retuned makes the SRM9000 a particularly versatile radio. I am fortunate in having a microphone on hand and the power lead is easy to make using a readily available 15 pin D connector. Of course, the downside is that the exchange rate for the Australian Dollar to the British Pound makes the radio a little more expensive by the time freight and GST are added. I am impressed with the quick delivery and hassle-free Customs clearance arrangements so I don't begrudge having to pay the extra for delivery.
