Everything you need to know about fitting trousers.

After attempting to get trousers to fit well by a hit and miss method of pinning different seams together I decided it was time to look for some professional advice. Reading dressmaking blogs eventually lead me to this book, which contains everything you could ever need to know about how to fit trousers. The book covers different body shape issues as well as different cuts of trousers and shows how to adjust to fit perfectly from the paper pattern rather than making a muslin. I found this book contained everything I needed to help solve my trouser fitting problems.

Excellent results from the V15

The Dyson V15 Animal is a great machine, with four dogs in the house it was really important to me was to upgrade my Dyson V7 to one that was designed for picking up hair. This one certainly excels at that. Having vacuumed the lounge the day before my new one arrived I wasn’t expecting there to be much in the bin, I was wrong, I couldn’t believe how much dust and hair came up from the rug! I then tried it on the stairs and again was astounded. The V15 is easy to click together and exchange tools, it’s easy to empty and gives great performance. The bigger bin means less emptying and the battery lasts long enough to get the rooms cleaned. I’d recommend for anyone with pets to get one of these when you need an upgrade.

After reading other reviews about this attachment I decided it was just what I needed for my Kmix stand mixer and I'm not disappointed. The flexible blade gets the mixture from the base and sides of the bowl easily and there's no need to keep stopping the machine in order to scrape down the sides, making cake making even quicker! I was a little concerned that the attachment would fit the machine as there does seem to be a range of these creamers for the different models but I needn't have worried it fits the Kmix 75 perfectly. The flexible blade detaches easily for cleaning but is a bit trickier to replace, hopefully I'll get used to it soon.
