Works with Debian Linux.
Just plug in and it works with current Debian Buster/testing as of Jan 2018. Card and/or driver does not support Link Power Management.
Only problem is that sometimes USB 2.0 speed is selected, in that case unplugging and plugging in again helps.

Module works, needed soldering
You need to remove a solder bridge on the side of the module for it to work (will not spin the disk if you don't). Compare with your old module and make the new one the same, or look online for instructions.
