It doesn't like water!
The tape is supposed to work under water, but loses adhesion when wet. May well work in dry conditions but was useless in attempting a pond repair. The promotional material specifically mentions pond liners but the small print on the packaging says it cannot be used with fish or other animals. In short be aware of the limitations of this expensive tape
