Average chain would probably stop a butter knife and the padlock is terrible feels flimsy and spent 10 minutes tying to get it to lock, the disk lock is the better of the two as I’ve now got tinnitus when I accidentally knocked my front wheel whilst my head was down there, overall I’d recommended just buying the disk lock on its own unless you want the chain to lock up your bins.
