Excellent for soldering and brazing small metal articles - and also for heat treating them. Yo must use the special MAP gas cylinder sold separately! The heat output while excellent for 'domestic' purposes can't compete with industrial systems - but this is not its purpose anyway. If the metal item is larger -say a 20mm square by 100mm long piece of tool steel you want to anneal by heating to bright red - you will need an additional source of heat - like another similar torch. The auto start facility is excellent and safe too. Highly recommended !

Excellent item for the price and ideal for DIY use. A professional user might find the rather fussy set up procedure annoying as the engravings on the barrel are not that easy to read! Recommended nevertheless!

Fuji X 14mm f2.8 Lens - superb quality and handling
7 of 7 found this helpful Having purchased the superb Fuji XT1 camera recently (with the excellent standard zoom), I needed a wider angle of view for my travel and architectural images. I checked out the new ultra wide 12-24 zoom and while reviews give it an excellent performance rating - I could not justify the price and anyway it is a somewhat large and heavy lens for travelling and backpacking - just like the new f2.8 standard zoom in fact.
Anyway I picked up an unused 14mm f2.8 Fuji on eBay for £200 less than the recommended retail price! What a lens - one of the sharpest and best handling lenses I have ever used, and beautiful metal build! It is hard to imagine how even the much more costly Leica lenses could be any better, and these won't auto focus on the Fuji - even using an adaptor. My advice for those seeking the best performance from the Fuji x cameras, and considering buying third party glass is - forget it - the Fuji glass cant be beaten, and the convenience of autofocus is a great asset. The only complaint I have is that image stabilization would have been nice - Fuji have left IS off the new above mentioned fast standard lens too - they seem to believe that IS can degrade image quality and make a lens too bulky!!!
