Great captivating story!
This book was one of the many Sonlight books that my children would beg me to read more of each day! They loved it, and so did I. I would recommend this book to any child or adult alike to add to their classical schooling. Just fabulous! It is about a boy taken in as an apprentice by a Journeyman Painter and how he faced up to tragedy upon his return to his home. It has wonderful lessons to be learned about it.

Curly/Wavy Girl Must Have!
All curly and wavy girls must check this book out! I barely have waves in my hair for years, and through this book, in one wash, I would almost consider myself a curly girl! Amazing information and techniques! I can’t believe how great my hair looks everyday! I was doing my hair all wrong!

Great Boy Read (Girls love it too!)
This book kept my 8 and 10 year old on the edge of the seat as we read this great historical fiction book! Boys will especially love this adventure story of a young boy and his responsibility for his family home in the wilderness. Wonderful representation of Native Americans just before being driven off their land! My kids kept asking for more!
