Great Price, But know how to use before buying!
3 of 3 found this helpful There really aren't any instructions, so luckily this isn't my first programmer, and I knew what I was doing. You'll need to update the software most likely right away before you even use it the first time. The software is however pretty easy to use.
The only downside is there EPROM inventory isn't that large, so you will likely have to select the closest chip to yours, but refer to data sheets before you make anything final. It does its job properly, but if you can't find a chip with the same data sheet your sort of out of luck. Probably not a problem for most people, but I work with outdated hardware, and sometimes it's not only difficult to find, but it is also difficult to reprogram a prom that has maybe been exposed to the sunlight or something alike to corrupt it's data. Overall.. Great programmer for the price, really hard to complain!
Hopefully the software developers will continue to expand the prom inventory. I have not found any issues with logic IC's yet.
