Simple, easy and works.
Expect the worst and you'll be pleasantly surprised. No, it won't do chords or even 2 notes at the same time. Yes, it will drop out if you play loosely. But, if you are careful how you play the bass and choose some decent sounds you will be rewarded with some amazing sounds. It is simple to plug in and once plugged in, its simply works.
Pros: It works. It's simple. It's self powered. You don't need a manual.
Cons: The built in tuner is almost impossible to use. It has no method of switching sounds or turning the midi off. It is monophonic.
It is obviously monophonic as you only have one pick-up, not 4 as in a hex pick-up so you can only play one midi channel. I use mine with an empty patch and a midi foot switch so I can effectively turn it on and off. You could use a volume pedal from your midi device. It's simple and it covers the basses (excuse the pun) when you need to use odd sounds to enhance your playing. For studio work you could possibly be more adventurous with it.
