Does the job but you need to be gentle
I bought this originally for my mother, a resident in a nursing home, to improve her dental hygiene. However, I needed to test it out myself before using it on her so the pack of 2 came in handy. First time I used it on myself I drew blood and found the implement to be sharp, I was ready to bin it but persevered the next day this time I did not scrape so hard. It wasn't so bad and after a week of using it my tongue got used to the scraper. It certainly removes a lot of gunge and helps to keep the mouth cleaner. (esp after eating garlic the night before).
Tried it for the first time on my mother only yesterday - it didn't quite work so well on her as she does not open her mouth wide enough and the implement needs to be narrower. She needs assisted personal care so it's a bit tricky using the implement on her. So not helped her at all unfortunately..

Decent pole that does the job
Telescopic Pole arrived a few days earlier than expected, which was good as it got used straight away. Need to make sure that you click it in place properly before use, otherwise the two parts separate.
