OK now after rocky start
After setting up, the track was so badly aligned that I could not adjust it using the suggested method. As the machine ran the track was trying hard to wind itself off one side. I had to take the thing apart and adjust the front roller that was miles out of alignment. With the front roller centralised I put everything back together and did the final adjustment using the suggested method. Its ok now, no other problems or complaints.
