Easy to use, easy to charge, the Canon batteries are a good buy.
The Canon batteries that power the Ds are essential in the function of the camera. they are proprietary, which means no substitutes are availabkle, but they are very good, and they keep their charge

experience with the bernina640e

i bought the bernina 640e after i had actually owned one, which i traded up to an 830e. although, at first glance, that seems an overkill, it is very helpful to have the 830e work through a lengthy embroidery project - for which i need to be close to it to monitor progress and intervene because of a broken thread or an empty bobbin - and then put together parts of a quilt for which i can use the 640. the 640 has all the qualities i need.
it means i can efficiently manage time, using the 640 for one task while the 830 is doing its job with complex embroidery.
i do not have dislikes for either one, knowing, of course, that both the 640 and the 830 have limitations and idiosyncrasies.
