What did you do in the War Daddy?

Brilliant series depicting what it was to be in a small community during the Occupation in World War 2.. What was collaboration all about? The Series researches that throughout the war with consequences for all involved. France has a long conscience about the war which has not gone away. Many families still try to cover up their history in the matter. This series asks many questions and we may not like the answers. What would we have done if we had been occupied like the French? The actors were given full scope to develop their characters. Buy all 7 series!

A Let-down

I was persuaded to buy because of the rave reviews. What a let-down. The worst feature was the camera work. There was nothing but close-ups and constant change of shot. The opening segment probably had some complicated choreography but we saw nothing of it and as for the music! A lot of screaming and shouting does not constitute a musical score. We saw nothing of the stage set which at least the theatre audience did. I lasted less than half an hour and will donate it to Vinnies; perhaps someone else might find it OK.
