Not good for Chalk paint

I use calcium carbonate powder a lot for chalk paint. Saw this deal and thought it would be good. It has a bad smell when mixed with latex paint and doesn't store for the length that calcium carbonate powder usually does. If using for chalk paint, save yourself and get a better grade. For other purposes, I have no idea how good it is.
