Better than nice
The NIKON Camera Accessory Shoe Cover adds a professional look to my vintage Nikon FE. The picture does not show the smooth polished look and sharp edges. A solid piece of metal with the underside recessed to avoid touching the electronic contacts of the hot shoe.

Nice touch
Not just an upgrade to your shutter release but to the aesthetics of your camera as well. I like the feel of the shutter release button now and am glad I made the purchase for my 1978 Nikon FE.
