Surprisingly useful
2 of 2 found this helpful Turns out that this is a sturdy, reliable and serviceable little lathe, and it's a LOT better than I had expected. The three tools supplied were hopeless and needed sharpening straight out of the box but apart from that I would say this is a good little machine for learners through to medium level hobbyists who want to have a go at making trinkets
If you're interested in turning small items - mushrooms, pens, spindles, Christmas tree decorations, spinning tops, stair rods, handles and smaller pots and bowls then this one could well be what you're looking for.
You'll need something more robust if you want to play around with whole trees, though, or if you want to make canoes. Or park benches...

Excellent VFM
These are very robust and reliable jump leads, and the extra length makes using them a breeze. The clips are more than big enough for the job and have a serious bite in them. I like the zip-up case, too, though I've already managed to put a tear in it - by bad. I fixed it with sticky tape and bubblegum. I'd recommend these to anybody and everybody.

It is what it is, and what it is is very good :o)
This is a very light little gadget, which is good because I stuck a piece of double-sided velcro to the bottom of it then fixed it out of the way to keep things tidy. All the connections are solid, and all the switches work as they should. It worked perfectly straight out of the box, turning my "smart" TV with just one USB socket in to an even "smarter" TV with seven USB sockets. It handles a remote control USB dongle for a wireless mouse and keyboard, which allows me to scoot through options like it's on steroids and without using the remote control that came with the TV (VERY useful), and has two x 4TB hard drives and one x 1TB hard drive plugged in to it, along with a couple of ordinary and much smaller memory sticks. Oh! and one of those USB mini card reader thingies so I can view movies straight out of the go-pro and camera. Every single device shows up and is available to the TV through this hub. And because the drives AND this hub are so quick, there is very little delay in loading movies, pictures and what-not in to the system.
I'm very glad I got this gadget!
