Sounds a lot better than it actually is.
I used a couple of 8" strip's of the abrasive to tidy up a wheel hub before pressing the new bearing on but the abrasive literally crumbled instantly leaving just the mesh hence the need for two strip's . You certainly would not be able to tackle any rust nor de burr metal with this so I will be sticking with emery cloth in future.
