1 of 1 found this helpful Surely Bose speakers are still on the top 5 list. Particularly these Bose 901 Series VI, even though they were first introduced back in the 60s, their top notched performance and sound quality still are unbeatable. The only minor drawback is that you have to find an old schooler receiver which has the Main Amp In & Preamp Out features in order for the Bose Active Equalizer bringing out the best performance of the 901 capacity. Of course, you can hook them up with any 5.1, 7.2, 9.2 Receivers normally thru front speakers connectors via speaker wiring. But the sound quality is not as best as thru the Active Equalizer.
In short, no speakers for the regular home use application can beat these Bose 901 Series VI.
