    About

Back in 2009 when I joined ebay, I was a little suspicious. But because my income was low I wanted to try and get some bargains. And the sellers haven t let me down. When I sell myself, I pay alot of attention to getting things right. I love ebay.

    Panasonic DMP-BDT500 3D Blu-Ray Player
    01 Feb, 2017
    Panasonic DMP-BTD 3D Blu-Ray Player
Buying anything that is related to home cinema, is like throwing a bag of marbles on the ground and then trying to pick your favourite. Every year, the manufacturers bombard us with the next best thing. I consider myself to be an enthusiast and even I get confused. This is my way of doing it and its worked pretty well so far. I bought the Panasonic BDT-500 knowing it was a slightly older model, but had everything i was looking for and it was way cheaper than its release price. I had my eye on the new 4k model, but at £500, it was a little pricey and the 4k blu ray discs are expensive. So, sticking with standard blu ray, i wanted good sound as well as good picture quality. They focused heavily on the component quality on this model and the DAC's inside are good enough for music and movies. I say good enough, but if someone wants audiophile music quality, then your budget will have to go up considerably to a universal sacd/blu ray player. I paid £100 and blimey, is that good value for money. I sold my older denon blu ray, only because it lacked some of the newer decoders that i wanted. This machine has everything. Great picture, great sound. good feature. Its well made too. Not flimsy like some of the cheaper models and as its a 2012 model. Great price. The remote is very clever. Took a while the get the hang of, but its touch sensitive, so all you need to do is swipe (like on most smart phones) to the next menu and tap the screen to access. So, why 4 stars and not 5. i dont believe in giving 5 stars. That would mean perfect. But, its pretty damn close. Definitely 5 stars for £100. not for £350. (2012 price). Lastly. Panasonic work closely with some of the biggest films studios. They research what the film makers want to see when it goes to blu ray. That is one of the reasons why Panasonic players win so many awards.

    Pioneer BDP-LX55 3D Blu-Ray Player

    Pioneer bdp lx55
I would consider myself to be someone who does research in order to get the correct item for my home. I have had a period of ill health, which mean that I have done more research than most. I needed a blue ray player to replace one that was being used as a universal disc player. In choosing the pioneer, I had a shortlist of 3 that was within my budget of £100.00. Originally selling for around the £300 mark, i was convinced that this was the one for me. Is it worth £100. Absolutely. Does it match up to the reviews. Well. Not quite. I expected mind blowing picture and sound. What I got was very good picture and sound. I previously owned an older Denon bluray player from 2008. It has dual wolfson dac as well as 48 bit deep colour. I have to say that the denon is a better machine. So much for items getting better as new models are released. Having said that. The denon was originally much more expensive, so my argument really should be about value and not like for like comparison. In my opinion the Pioneer is an accomplished and well engineered piece of kit, that is well worth the second hand price of £100 and I would recommend anyone with that budget to purchase this machine. If you want the very best quality, then you have to pay for it. I wish I had spent another £50.00 and bought a second hand denon 2012. This doesn't mean I am mad on Denon. Since then, they have failed to get top reviews and other manufacturers have been beating them on star ratings. Verdict. £100. Pioneer lx52, or lx55.

Non-Stick Roasting Tray Large Dish Carbon Steel Pan with Rack Oven Baking Safe
    20 Oct, 2024
    great value oven dish
i am happy i bought the oven dish. the handles are a useful addition to this item. it also has a removable grill, so you can cook certain items that can release the fat to the bottom of the pan. just one thing which it a little misleading. i measured the width of my oven and want a pan to be large enough, so i can put the spuds in with the roast. the pan could've been a little bigger, to accommodate everything i wanted. the measurements provided are from the tips of the handles. once you take of the lip of the tray as well as the handles, you will lose about an inch from each side. the actual useable area, is a fair bit smaller then the advertised measurements.
