Enough power to power my gaming machine.
My old atx psu burned out rather spectacularly, so I was expecting the motherboard was a goner. after much umming and thinking, I decided it was worth buying another psu and try it. well it arrived promptly and took me another several weeks before sitting down and replacing te old with the new.
Plugged in with fingers crossed, nothing. a bit alarmed, unplugged, re checked everything, nothing getting warm, so went for a good old cuppa char. while sitting there,I noticed an empty square socket on the motherboard, tucked up in the top left hand corner, ??? I thought whats missing ???
ran through the psu wire bundle, I found the square 4 way plug, that supplies the main CPU.
so after finishing the cuppa, plugged that 4 way in, powered up, and yes everything is working again. After testing the PSU in situ, I find it very stable, even on intensive gameplay.(defiance 2050).
so if ever I need to replace a PSU, I will be buying one of these.

better than quadrant
Looks a whole lot better than scotia or quadrant. The only thing letting it down , is the strength of the glue on the foam, probably works well in a laboratory r&r department, So buy a glue! Easy to work with, I used only a junior hacksaw (new blade) set square, pencil, glue and a fine file ( useful for getting the joints perfect). (I did use small panel pins to hold it against the wall where the runs are not straight).

Clean Water
If your like me, and do not want poison in your tap water, then this is for you.
Easy to use, easy to keep clean. The carbon filter is suprisingly small,but when you consider its filtering CLEAN water, then it makes sense. (though I'll not be buying these, I will refill from aquarium carbon and use instead).
the only bad point is, It is critical to position the jug exactly right, even though the gap is small, if the steel collecting lid is slightly off, you lose water. You could leave it off, then that leaves the jug with a nice round hole into which the water will drip without missing. but then you run the risk of air contaminants gaining access to your purified water.
The only other thing you need to watch for, is fitting the top half into the bottom half!, make sure its snug and always check before you switch on, telltale pool of water on your work surface will tell you one of the above is wrongly positioned.
All in all, a well made unit, our coffee tastes better, if you drink a glass of water from it, you can tell the difference,
no after taste.
