Bought for my son, who has discovered Rick Riordan as an author & is captivated by the stories combining modern-day children with the ancient civilisations of Greece, Rome, Egypt, etc. This book fills in some of the gaps between the end of the Percy Jackson series and the start of the Heroes of Olympus series.

Rick Riordan continues to engage readers with mythological stories expertly interwoven with the modern day. This was bought as a gift for a girl, but boys equally love the stories involved (not to mention adults!). A wonderful way in to studying the ancient civilisation of Egypt.

Natural Wooden Pencil box with sliding lid to decorate yourself

Perfect for purpose

I wanted a plain pencil box with a sliding top to decorate with pyrography; it seems a simple enough item to search for, but this was the only one I managed to find. It's exactly what was needed, but you do need to check measurements carefully, as it may not be quite deep enough for a collection of felt-tip pens - it's ideal for a set of pencil crayons, pencil sharpener & eraser though. Good value for the money paid.
