Great Stuff

This stuff is formulated by Brooks for their saddles so is the best conditioner to use. Great stuff which also has a great smell!

Yamaha Guitalele GL1 with Fishman pickup and bag

An excellent travel guitar.

As a guitar player with many years of playing full size guitars I was looking for a guitar small enough to fit in a large hard shell suitcase when travelling so thought I would give this a try. For the money it is very good value and you can't really go wrong. I should point out though that you cannot purchase a Yamaha Guitalele with a Fishman pickup. This must have been installed by the Ebay seller and although I might not make much use of it, it is good to have the option of plugging the instrument into an amplifier. I obviously didn't expect the instrument to sound like a full blown guitar but the sound is better than expected when tuned in regular EADGBE guitar tuning provided you fit high tension classical guitar strings. The instrument is also fun to play and now sits permanently by my side on the sofa so I can grab it whenever I feel the urge to play a little but don't want to be bothered with getting a guitar out of its case. I think that as a travel guitar especially the sound is adequate and fits the bill.

Robust German Engineering.

I have had one of these brackets for a number of years that I use to attach a Bridge Street Saddlebag and wanted another for a different bicycle so that I could easily swap the bag from one bike to another. They work very well and are of robust German engineering. Sadly Bridge Street bags are no longer available or I would get a spare to go with it and Rixen and Kaul bags- though undoubtedly of high quality are expensive so just the one bag will have to do for the time being!
