Disney Magical World (Nintendo 3DS, 2014)

A Good game for kids and adults.
This game is a lot of fun and recommended for girls mostly and any adults who enjoy games like "Animal Crossing." In the game, you can farm for ingredients, do quests and help disney friends (like Cinderella and Aladdin), make clothing for your avatar and employees, and furniture for your cafe. You collect character cards that sparkle in 3D as you greet the local disney characters. It takes time to collect all the items since there are hundreds, and the game is real time based, so the disney world changes in scenery based on the season and holidays. Characters and ingredients (used in recipes for cafe food, furniture, clothes, and your wand) change and appear more frequently as the time of year changes. For example: If you want to collect all the "Nightmare before Christmas items" you will need to play between September and October in order to obtain the halloweenish recipes and items needed to make those items. There is also downloadable content such as clothes (usually free), special wands, and a new world to explore (So far there is one extra world availabe for purchase: Pirates of the Caribbean).

Great Zelda Game, Loved Series, but Very Frustrating for beginners
This game is wonderful and an excellent edition to any Zelda game collection or any 3DS game collection for that matter. This one has to be the hardest to complete so far. The game is based around a style where Link has 3 days to complete specific tasks or he has to redo them when time rewinds back to the first day. Don't worry. Once you complete the main objective, those three days are saved and Link moves on to the next 3 days to complete tasks. However, you also lose any obtained items {i.e. Deku Sticks, nuts, and your rupees! if you run out of time). Any specific items obtained will stay in your inventory no matter when time alters, like masks and maps. This can be quite nerve-racking since I'm used to classic Zelda gameplay where I can roam freely without a time limit and collect as much as I want. The 3D is stunning, but the camera controls make it difficult to view the world around you (which is required when finding items and battling multiple enemies). I own the older 3DS-XL and do not have the new camera button, so I do not know if the new addition would help in this scenario.

Excellent Casual Game for Relaxation. Very easy gameplay.
This game is quite fun and as a new player to the series, I really enjoy the casual gameplay. If your looking for an action game, this probably isn't for you. In this game you can plant trees to collect fruit, break rocks for money or gems, fish, shake trees for random loot, dig up fossils, dive, and catch bugs. Each day you can do all these things and find different items (especially as seasons change). By collecting bugs, fossils, and fish, you can donate them to the local museum, where you can view your critters up close in habitats and tanks. Each day you will be visited by random characters, including ones like "Gulliver" (the washed up pelican, who will quiz you on a country. If you answer correctly, you will receive a gift from him themed from that country). It's a very simple concept and a great way to pass the time. As time progresses in real life, so does it progress in the game. As mayor, you can build new facilities. The more you do, the more shops will open up on main street. Don't forget, you also get your own house. You can decorate as you like and even upgrade to a bigger home.
