Narration works very well.
The arms dealer is dishonest with everyone except the audience in his narration of his life and tactics. Jack Valentine the cop on his trail abides by the law and finds when he finally has enough evidence to charge that a presidential directive releases Yuri Orlov, rather like the UK order to suspend the Serious Fraud Office's enquiry into BAE's supply of arms to Saudi Arabia. Funny but covering a serious topic. Nicolas Coppola shines.

Bobby - Robert Kennedy - June 1968 - by Emilio Estevez
This film, which received a standing ovation at the Venice Film Festival, captures the hotel atmosphere well and shows how different types of people regarded each other at that time - their hopes, invested in one man, Bobby Kennedy, younger brother to John & Teddy Kennedy. Especially I like the hyperreality - how actors are spliced with real footage to create a more complete guide to the times. The back of Bobby's head is played in some scenes by an unknown actor, but all views of Bobby's face are genuine archive footage of the man himself.

A medical doctor from Argentina lives his heroic dreams
1 of 2 found this helpful In Cuba, the population resented the rule of the dictator Batista. Even the USA wanted him out of power. Fidel Castro from the south-east rural side of Cuba knew the land and the locals and sprang himself and Ernesto Guevara from a Mexican jail and into a 6 day sea voyage with 84 men who landed secretly on Fidel's home turf and battled Batista's army with guerilla warfare that galvanised the population into rising up against the government, bringing the surviving 12 soldiers into power in Havana.
But the Argentinian nicknamed "Che" by his comrades grew homesick and sought a similar battle on the Alto Planar back in South America, where his luck ran out. Eduardo Noriega paints a believable asthmatic "Che" who comes to prominence simply because the bullets miss him, when they hit others. His one talisman was his belief in the potential equality of men.
