Strange Trails - An Astonishing Album from a Gifted Group

An album filled with melancholic ballads, tales of lost love and wonder, Strange Trails is truly mesmerizing. Lord Huron has mastered a folk-rock vibe that fills your eyes with vivid imagery. The lyrics have incredible depth (something most "indie" bands cannot achieve) and every tune is a potential earworm. I find myself humming "Frozen Pines" and "Louisa" all of the time. ALL OF IT. The band itself is incredible, with every instrument played to perfection. This is all capped off by Ben Schneider's dreamlike voice that allows you to not only listen to these songs, but feel them as well. When people ask me for music recommendations, I rapidly blurt out Lord Huron. My excitement normally scares them away, though... Lord Huron achieves what few can do, although they do so with hardly any recognition. And, if you're simply looking for good music to listen to and not thought provoking sounds and feelings, buy Strange Trails - and check out Lonesome Dreams, another amazing album from this gifted group. You won't regret your purchase(s).
