Underrated Dark Drama
This is a wonderful gem from the early days of BBC3 remade into a feature length film "Blood" with more high profile actors the original series stands as an equal with less well known actors who put in quality performances. It is a very dark story certainly not a feel good story yet it is moving and sad at times and produces strong emotions for all the characters both sympathetic and empathetic and makes you question your own moral judgement your loyalty to family employers and friends. It places you in situations of the darkest realms of human behaviour and invites you to consider how you would act. It leaves you in tears in shock in respect all at the same time and can be summed up by saying this is an examination of human frailty and is compelling from start to finish featuring fine performances from mainly unknown actors of the day who have now become established tv stars here. This is a good addition to any video library.

Dreadful rip off
I love this movie watched it many times. It has an excellent soundtrack most of the songs I have in my personal collection as I have all Pogues, James Blunt, Steve Earle, Wilson Pickett, Paulo Nutini and Flogging Molly albums which were in the movie. I bought this CD to play in my car as it had some artists I didn't have. What a mistake!!. This CD has only THREE memorable tracks from the movie tracks 1, 2 and 7. Track 14 is vaguely memorable it's from the composer of the incidental music. Therefore you have 10 unrecognisable tracks and when I listened to them I could not remember them at all from the film they are so bland and dreadful they were not in the karaoke bar the Irish bar or in Ireland in all the main musical moments. So if you think getting this CD will bring the film alive but it won't you get 3 decent songs so you download them on your phone then look to Spotify to get Fairytale of New York, Galway Girl, Mustang Sally and so on. Whoever made this selection should be sacked and never ever allowed to make one again. Mind you possibly the worst cd soundtrack for glaring omisions is The Big Lebowski it contains no Credence songs go figure.
