Mr. Show, the best sketch comedy show of all time!!
Mr. Show is one of the best sketch comedy shows of all time. Bob Odenkirk and David Cross brought a special brand of slightly edgier comedy to HBO with Mr. Show in the 1990's. In the Season four disc set, Bob and David present their last, and most polished season of Mr. Show.
Season Four originally aired in 1998. This two disc set contains all ten episodes. Although not the best season of Mr. Show, the episodes are consistently funny with several sketches breaking through the hilarity envelope into the outer space of comic ingenuity.
Be forewarned that Mr. Show was on HBO and it can be quite crude. For comedy enthusiasts it is a must, but if your tastes run a bit vanilla this DVD will make you go blind. That said, Mr. Show is probably the most influential sketch comedy show in a generation, and its cast have gone on to do almost everything that has been funny in the last twenty years. Bob Odenkirk has written and guest starred in The Larry Sanders Show and Curb Your Enthusiasm. David Cross is NYC's most illustrious comic and was a main character on Arrested Development. The rest of the cast was equally talented and can be seen throughout the entertainment industry. Tom Kenny, one of the show's most versatile and funny actors went on to become the voice of a little known character called SpongeBob Squarepants.
I hope that you find Mr. Show as entertaining as I did. In the meantime, I shall be awaiting your foundation at the Burgundy Loafe.

Great read-incredible tale
If you are a Tim Maia fan this is a must read.
Very well written biography of Tim as he embraces (then rejects) the Racional Cult and produces one of the best albums ever made.
