What you would expect

It's a solid cube of pure titanium. It's what you would expect. A must have for metal nerds and a great gift for engineers and geeks alike. Somewhat sharp corners I'd not recommended for kids but I could see it being a great learning aid. Very cool!

NEW Cold Steel Recon Tanto

What you'd expect

Cold steel has always made great blades and while the quality has noticeably declined since they moved manufacturing to Taiwan the price has dropped accordingly leaving decent value for money steel. Sharp ish out of the box the blade takes and holds a edge reasonably well. The securex sheath is fairly adjustable as long as you have a screwdriver and some paracord will strap it to just about anything anyway. The handle is not my favourite and in my opinion is the major weakness of a otherwise solid knife however it dose allow for good grip in all conditions. The blade is powder coated making it very resistant to reflecting light and helping protect the blade from scratches. Pros Solid construction Great sheath Nice finnish Affordable price point Cons Handle sucks Made in Taiwan (if you wanna be nit picky) In closing if you want a decent mid range production knife and your on a budget the cold steel recon tanto is a decent option.
