Bosch TWK7203GB Sky Black Kettle with Temperature Selector Limescale Filter

Problem with lid hinge - keeps breaking.
Product looks great with nice features but I believe there is a flaw with the lid hinge. The first one failed in 18 months and the lid just slops about not opening or closing correctly so it was replaced by BOSCH. The second has just failed in less than a year in exactly the same way. BOSCH now refuse to do anything and were no help at all as the total life of the 2 kettles is more than their 2 year warranty. There are only 2 of us in the house so the kettle gets used less than 3 times a day, not what I'd call excessive use. So a £90 kettle which lasts anything from 10 to 18 months, not value for money, will be sticking with cheaper less fancy brands for the replacement.
