Better than expected
Like so many other dog owners in lockdown we've been unable to get to the groomers with our Cockapoo, so being ever practical I took matters into my own hands and decided to groom our dog myself. I studied all the reviews of clippers and decided the cheaper budget models seemed to have some limitations whereas the Wahl were getting great reviews from professionals, so although the price is 3x the budget models I decided this would be the one to go for as I plan to continue grooming after lockdown is over.
First impressions were "this is a good piece of kit" it feels and looks like a professional tool. Fitting and removing the blade is positive and easy. I also purchased the SS comb set which snap into place with precision. The motor is surprisingly quiet which was a key factor as our cockapoo hates being groomed. So everything was looking good but how about cutting her coat? I can say I was surprised at how easy it was to cut our dogs thick coat, I used a No. 4 comb at first incase I made a 'cock-apoo up' and the Wahl KM5 went through it like a hot knife through butter (but less messy) it was a bit more tricky on her knotted legs so a bit of scissor work was required there. Overall I am delighted with the KM5 and looking forward to the next cut (Peggy our cockapoo is still not 100% sure and is reserving judgment).
Its still a lot of cash for what it actually is and you need to use it to justify the price but comparing it to all the other pro models it sits in the right price band.

Nice easy styling
Product is of good quality and very easy to fit, its a 5 minute job. It looks good on my campervan but unfortunately it doesn't make a great difference to the wind noise when the window is open. having said that I still like the product and would buy again.
