Surface easily marked
1 of 1 found this helpful I currently have a Hoya 77mm Pro1 CIR-PL filter and purchased the Hoya 77mm Pro 1D CIR-PL filter (as the earlier Pro 1 is no longer available). I have found that the PRO1D glass surface marks/scratches rather easily, while my original PRO1, which I have had for some years, has virtually no marks/scratches at all. The surface treatment appears to be far less resistant to scratching (despite care taken in cleaning) than the earlier model. Very disappointed.
