Nice models, but beware!
What can you say about these? They are good reproductions of the weapons they represent and the quality is as you would expect from a Dragon (DID) product. The only reason to write this review is as a warning that the point where the bipod attaches to the underside of the rifle is very fragile; I have managed to break mine in stowing/un-stowing it, so be careful!

2Gig Surf?
I thought I'd buy this laptop so I can use Skype to talk to my family whilst working away from home. Unfortunately it came with Linux software (not mentioned in the decsription else I wouldn't have brought it), and no web cam (again not mentioned, and ditto). I have nothing agaist Linux, having tried it I find I cn't use it.
I can only connect to the net using a LAN cable as I can't get the wireless function to work properly. I expect the reason for this is that I inadvertantly put in an incorrect address during the set-up of the wireless interface, but now find I can't change it. I do have a WLAN connection showing but no pages will load. The help pages do not give any instruction on how to go about achieving this, and using the re-set button does not re-set to the factory settings as the handbook says.
There is a add/remove software icon in the settings tab to allow you to achieve the same. When you click here the machine searches the net to find any updates for installed software. The browser used is Firefox, which I have on my own PC, so I know it is v3.6.3. The EEE does not find any updates to it's v2.0.6. On the help menu for Firefox the Search For Updates is inoperative. The Anti-virus software suffers the same fate, it can't find any updates as it can't connect to the server,even through the LAN is connected and working. It will, however, find the latest BIOS version, v406, but can't install it!
Web browsing is slow and painful. My mail providers login page keeps producing script errors, much to my annoyance, for example. There isn't ay more to add on the browsing front.
When the EEE serise came out there was a lot of good press about them. This may be so for the more high-end ones, but the Linux based 2Gig surf is not one of them. I brought this notebook to keep in touch with my family whilst working away from home. So far it has been sadly dissapointing and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
